New York City Car Rental and Legally Blonde on Broadway
Legally Blonde: The Musical will be opening on April 29, 2007 and will be playing at the Palace Theatre. Previews have already begun in San Francisco for this musical based on the hit movie of the same name. This is a fun play to see with your New York City car rental, especially if you are with a group of ladies who love to shop.
This is the story of Elle Woods, a college student who won't take no for an answer. Her boyfriend dumps her for someone "more serious" as he begins law school, so Elle decides that to win him back, she also needs to go to law school. She also decides to attend Harvard, but when she gets there, she discovers that her new world is not as comfortable as the one she left and she doesn't fit in. But Elle stays true to herself and proves that when you put your mind to something, anything can happen.
Valhalla of Vaudeville
Legally Blonde: The Musical will be playing at The Palace Theater. This is a historic theater that you can visit with your New York City car rental. It opened in 1913 with vaudeville shows from the Keith Circuit. When it first opened, it was not very successful until French actress Sarah Bernhardt came to perform. Soon after, to perform here meant an actor reached the top of their career.
As you may learn while you are here with your New York City car rental, the 1950s was a time when the owners tried to revive vaudeville with performers such as Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. The shows were a hit, but they were not successful in their cause. In 1966, the Palace reopened as a theater with the musical Sweet Charity. Soon, Legally Blonde will open with its first performance during previews on April 3, 2007.
Where did it go?
The architecture of the theater, like many others that you may see from your New York City car rental near Times Square, has the auditorium building is located on a side street with a small passage that leads to a grand entrance. The Palace is somewhat infamous for having an enormous and difficult-to-sell second balcony in which nearly every seat has an obstructed view. If you don't want to have these seats, make sure you look at a floor plan before buying your tickets!
It is difficult to say what Legally Blonde will be like as a musical, but many of those selected to perform here have a good reputation. This should prove to be a fun event for ladies looking for a fun night out. It may also appeal to younger women, such as teenagers, who are familiar with the film version. Coming to see this with your New York City car rental will give you the opportunity to see one of the newest plays in town.
