Roxie is let off the hook for her crime thanks to her lawyer Billy, but then someone pulls an even more spectacular crime for the media and the attention on Roxie is gone.

When Chicago first came to Broadway in 1996, initial excitement over the play was lacking because there had been so many different versions. But after a couple shows it was obvious that people were enjoying it. Today, it is the winner of six Tony Awards and is a favorite among audiences. One of the reasons that it may have been so popular when it came out was because the country was in the midst of the O.J.
